Welcome to IMAGINE.
We’re a decentralized, inter-generational coalition of humans committed to building a more just and livable world. We’re sort of an organization. But, not really. We’re more of a gathering place. Like a late-night bonfire, which we love and have together often. They’re like our board meetings. But, we don’t vote on anything. We spend most of our time poking at the fire, thinking big, bold, how-did-you-come-up-with-that-kinda-thought thoughts and helping each other become better versions of ourselves. And, given who we are, where we are and what we have to work with, we believe that we can contribute to building a more just and livable world by collaborating on work that does one or more of the following three things:
Builds a Bigger Table
We need greater diversity in the changemaker space (in terms of race, religion, sex, geography, socioeconomic status, and educational background). More inclusivity will be accompanied by a greater diversity of experiences, beliefs, and narratives regarding how to build a more just and livable world. (LEARN MORE)
Creates a Better Changemaker
A better changemaker is a values-based, relationship-centered problem solver who acts upon their agency to change the world. They are highly attuned to the possible inadequacies of their efforts, sensitive to their role and place in the process of social change, and know that sustainable social change is about building coalitions of diverse human beings committed to change. We need to support local leaders solving local problems in their local communities by working with others to support and/or create changemaker ecosystems in their communities.
